Single Pomegranate

Painting No. 336|6″ x 6″ |Oil on Linen Panel

I’ve know for a while about “lost” edges but always get wound up when I’m painting and want things to be crisp and clear. I really tried hard to let the right side of the pomegranate disappear and have that line be more invisible.

Compared to No. 195 from a while back you can see how that works (I think) a lot better. Carol Marine talks in her book about objects looking “cut out” and stuck on with beginner painters.
