Spring Periwinkle

Painting No. 26|10″ x 8″|Oil on Canvas
Number 26 brings us back into nature. I’ve been trying to photograph what I can and capture some of what is going on out there with all the flowers but they can pass by pretty quick. One day they are perfect, the next they are gone. As Ferris said “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”

This is actually a Periwinkle bloom or Vinca Minor if you are so inclined. Leslie got a cutting from our neighbor and it has taken over. Neither of our thumbs are that green so I can tell you for a fact that these little guys are hearty.

I’ve got four others in the works and am looking forward to the weekend so I can finish them up.
